What the excursion involves
We head out by boat into open water, where you can see groups of dolphins swimming and playing. The guides explain how dolphins behave, where they live and what is done to protect them.
With luck, the dolphins leap and spin out of the water or swim alongside the boat.
The trip also includes snorkelling in the clear water around Thoddoo, with colourful fish, turtles and coral reefs.
Dolphins are wild animals, and sightings are not guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
Which dolphins live in the Maldives?
Among others, the spinner dolphin, the bottlenose dolphin, Risso's dolphin and the Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin. The most common is the spinner dolphin, known for its leaps with spins.
Is seeing dolphins guaranteed?
No. They are wild animals, and their presence varies by day and sea. The guide looks for the groups, but we cannot promise a sighting.
