Seaplanes to Thoddoo

Starting from February 2026, regular seaplane flights to Thoddoo Island are planned to be launched. This is an initiative by the President of the Maldives, Muizzu, aimed at developing tourism and agriculture, especially the watermelon industry, as well as reducing inconveniences caused by bad weather and unstable ocean conditions.
