What to see in Todd?
Even a trip to such a heavenly place as the Maldives implies that you arrive on the archipelago as a tourist. And any tourist needs “bread and circuses”. In our case, the bread will be the azure coast of the Indian Ocean, as well as excursions to the island of Thoddoo, offered on the island, but we will talk about circuses later.
Are there any attractions on the island?
The island is only 2 square kilometers in area. Locals live here and probably the key attraction in the local understanding is the mosque, which is located almost in the center of the island.

There are no other such capital buildings on the island. Otherwise, these are private buildings, shops, restaurants, a kindergarten and a hospital (yes, yes – the island has its own small outpatient clinic and kindergarten).
But is everything so sad for a tourist who absolutely needs to see something?
1. You can admire the local plantations
The island is mostly populated by locals and is engaged in growing vegetables and fruits for export to other islands. The plantations are large and clearly visible. An interesting sight.

2. The port and the coastline in general
Port, of course, is a strong word. But it will be interesting to get there and look at it again. It is worth walking along the coastline only in the area of two beaches (old and new).

3. Open football field
Yes, there is a full-fledged football field on the island, where local kids start playing football in the evening (when the heat subsides). A spectacle for those who like to watch sports events.
Otherwise, the island of Thoddoo in the Maldives is more conducive to a “seal” vacation, which means that people come here to lie on the beach, bask in the ocean and catch the rays of the sun.
